Target Operating Model

The UK Government has published a draft Border Target Operating Model (TOM) that will be progressively introduced from the end of October 2023.

The Model proposes a new approach to security controls (applying to all imports), and sanitary and phytosanitary controls (applying to imports of live animals, animal products, plants and plants products) at the border.  Government has been receptive to feedback and TAWC team members have met with the relevant civil servants leading the work.
