The Privacy Policy for Information Submitted to or Held by TAWC 

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us in compliance with any relevant data protection legislation from time to time in force in the UK including the Data Protection Act of 2018 or any successor legislation, and to the extent the law of the European Union has legal effect in the UK the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679)).

1.1 You are providing information to the Trade Animal Welfare Coalition. 1.2 TAWC is committed to safeguarding and respecting your personal information and privacy and will not share that information with any other body unless with your consent. 

2. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU 

2.1 TAWC may collect and process the following information about you: 

2.1.1 Personal information you provide, including your name, employer, job title, work address, phone number and email address; 2.1.2 If you complete any surveys for research purposes from time to time: all of your answers provided in such surveys and your name, email address, employer and job title; 2.1.3 if you correspond with us by phone, email or social media: records of all information you provide on such phone call, email or social media contact, including your name, email address, phone number, gender, address, employer and job title, and any other information you provide; 2.1.8 if you attend at an event we run and provide us with information in person: your name, email address, phone number, employer and job title, or any additional information you provide; 

3. HOW WE MAY USE YOUR INFORMATION 

3.1 We may use information held about you in the following ways: 

3.1.1 to invite you to events and meetings 3.1.2 to provide our service(s) to you such as updates on legislative changes, consultations or member activity. 3.1.3 to respond to any queries or enquiries you have made; 3.1.4 to contact you to ask for your feedback and comments on our work. 

4. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION 

4.1 We will not disclose your personal information to third parties: 

4.1.1 unless you are emailed for permission and respond providing that permission. 4.1.3 unless a representative from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs or the Local Government Group who you have met or know requests contact details. 

5. STORAGE AND SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION 

5.1 Once we have received your information, we will use, and keep up to date, strict and appropriate measures, procedures and security features (technical or otherwise) to ensure the security of personal information and to try to prevent access by unauthorised persons and any unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage. 

6. ACCESS TO INFORMATION 

6.1 We aim to keep any personal information we hold up to date, accurate and error free. Please help us to keep your information accurate and up to date by notifying us of any relevant changes in the personal data we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct any personal data we hold about you. 6.2 You have certain rights to see information we hold about you. Any such request must be made by email. 

7. CHILDREN 

7.1 We do not and will not knowingly collect information from any unsupervised person under the age of 16. If you are under the age of 16, you must not submit any personal data to us unless you have the consent of, and are supervised by, a parent or guardian. 

8. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY 

8.1 We will keep this Privacy Policy under review and may occasionally make changes to it. If we change this Privacy Policy, we will email the changes out and will post it on the TAWC website so that you will be aware of them.
